My Journey

I didn’t always know what I wanted to do. At college, I told my career counseller I didn’t want to be a nurse, but in one short session, she convinced me it was right for me. Yes, I’m caring, good with people, kind…but deep down, I knew it wasn’t for me. I did a year (and one week) of nursing training before I was brave enough to say, “No, this isn’t me.”

Fast forward a few years and in 2002 I found my passion in learning & development and coaching. From that moment, I knew I’d found my calling: helping people make choices that improve their lives — professionally and personally.

Now I run my own coaching business, choosing the people I work with, the areas I specialise in and how I spend my time. Life has thrown me curveballs, infertility and coeliac disease both challenged my wellbeing, I know how valuable it is to have someone walk beside you when you need guidance and support.

I love learning, and I’m privileged to share my knowledge, expertise and passion with the people I coach, helping them gain clarity, confidence and direction.

I’m a career coach passionate about helping people create clarity and confidence in their next steps. I work with adults who are ready to make a change — whether that’s landing a new role, navigating redundancy or rediscovering who they are beyond work. I also support parents and teens through my Empower Youth programme, designed to help young people leaving school explore their strengths, passions, interests and future pathways.

My Approach

My coaching blends practical career tools — CV updates, interview preparation, networking strategies — with deeper self-discovery exercises, including the Ikigai model. Clients often tell me I create a safe, encouraging space where they feel truly seen and supported.

I understand what it’s like to face big transitions and uncertainty. My goal is to help you identify your strengths, clarify your next steps and feel confident taking them. Whether you’re a teen exploring options or an adult navigating a career change, I provide guidance, encouragement and actionable strategies to help you succeed.

Why I Do This

I’m motivated by helping people feel empowered and purposeful. I’ve spent years supporting individuals to navigate change, uncover hidden strengths and create opportunities they may never have imagined for themselves. Helping people find direction, purpose and confidence isn’t just my job — it’s my calling.

Beyond Coaching

When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me exploring New Zealand’s outdoors, planning my next overseas adventure or spending time with family and friends. I bring the same curiosity, care and energy to coaching as I do to life — helping others grow and succeed is what lights me up.
